Work | TherapyNotes
For five years, I was dedicated to the patient and insurance billing team at TherapyNotes. It started as one development team, but by my fourth year, it had grown to three development teams. In that time, I learned a ton of information about insurance claims, eligibility, payments, and all the processes that are involved in billing. It was complex and challenging work, but I enjoyed trying to solve the problems that were put in front of me to try and help make our end users' lives easier.
These are some blogs and help articles that highlight some of the major features I designed that were released:

While I was the billing teams' dedicated designer, I also had bandwidth to work with the outcome measure team on some of their projects. These projects were more of a creative challenge for me, rather than a complex or logic challenge like I normally had with billing. Outcome measures are questionnaires or assessments typically administered by a clinician to a patient (although, some outcome measures can be taken by the patients themselves). There are paper versions of these questionnaires out there that we get permission from the authors to recreate digitally to reduce the physical paperwork a clinician typically needs to contend with.

Sometimes I got to work on some internal projects for the design team, such as working on the design of or analysis for a new component, or participating in design challenges for fun.
