TASK: Brainstorm some fun ways to delight a user after they've cleared their To-Do List!
Our lead designer tasked us with a challenge one day - what are some ways we could delight a user after they've cleared their to-do list? She said, "think, gamification!"
I was in dire need at the time of some way to exercise my creativity (being dedicated to the billing team didn't always allow such fun!), so jumped at the chance to participate!
I took some inspiration from another application we used at the time at TherapyNotes, which was HelpScout. HelpScout was an application our customer success team used to track customer contacts via email and phone. When a user addressed all of their assigned items, they'd get a cute graphic and a pun-ny little saying that would without fail make us all at least smile, maybe even chuckle.
My ideas here used icons, with the goal of employing our graphic designer to draw up something far more cute and creative. I had so much fun finding icons and pun-ny sayings that went together, and the ideas I had were met (internally) with lots of happiness, so I'd say I succeeded in delighting people!
